The 35th Annual Golden Disc Awards Was a Star-Studded Platform for Amazing Wins and Performances

The Golden Disc Awards was a breathtaking digital event full of huge wins, spectacular performances, a tearful goodbye, and a very blonde Jeon Jungkook.

BTS and the Return of Suga

One of the biggest musical events in K-Pop made waves once again last weekend. With BTS taking home major awards, such as Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and the Popularity Award, the septet has again exercised their right to be awesome. The group matched their monumental award-winning power with staggering performances of "Life Goes On", "Dynamite", "On", and "Black Swan".

The group made a solid impression, which undoubtedly elicited voluminous cheers from viewers at home. Bangtan Sonyeondan truly raised the roof when they made a grand entrance to the tune of "Black Swan", which also shined a special spotlight on Suga, who ascended on a solo platform. The rapper's magnificent entrance also created the illusion that he had sprouted a set of titanium wings; a wonderful allusion towards his recent recovery from shoulder surgery. This musical genius is ready to spread his wings again. It's good to have you back, Suga! (Also, hello, Jungkook with gold hair that matches the group's shiny new gold awards!)

The Warriors of Stray Kids

Dashing onto the stage in gorgeous modernized Hanboks, Stray Kids set the skies ablaze with enchanting performances of "God's Menu" and "Backdoor". Their fierce ensembles and jaw-dropping choreography were impressive enough to steal the entire show.

To top it all off, the K-Pop superstars even gave us an artistic dance break with gigantic white fans as their props. Clearly, there's no need to fear when the warriors of Stray Kids are here.

GOT7's Final Performance?

JYP Entertainment recently released an official statement regarding GOT7's decision to not renew their contract with the company. The band has presumably taken their last bow as a seven-piece with their performance of "Not By the Moon" and "Breathe" on the Golden Disc Awards stage. Winning big in the album category, GOT7 may just have taken home their last collective award. Will they be moving to a different agency? Will they be embarking on new solo ventures?

Whatever the future holds for these seven talented guys, it's bound to be great. We wish them all good luck. #GOT7Forever

IU's Daesang Award

Decked in a dramatic white gown, IU serenaded viewers with her hit song " Love Poem". After the song concluded, she changed into an old-school blue co-ord and chunky headband to give a rendition of "Blueming". As one of South Korea's most popular soloists, it's no surprise that she took home a daesang for Digital Song of the Year.

MAMAMOO's Fiery Performance

The girl bosses of MAMAMOO took "Dinga" and "Hip" to the next level with elaborate props and stylish outfits. When MAMAMOO takes the stage, you can expect pure talent and bonafide flair.

Congratulations to all the artists who brought their A-game to the stage and brought home their deserving awards. Here's to the next Golden Disc Awards being an in-person event in a stadium packed with people.
