Queen Of Tears: A Tale of Love, Lies, and Loyalty Swirled with Royalty

Queen of Tears is making the world cry tears of joy, sadness, and everything in between.

Queen of Tears is the talk of the town in Netflix ville. The stirring K-Drama has managed to climb to the Top 10 charts in English-speaking countries within mere days after its release. In a record-breaking feat, the series has now officially dethroned Goblin becoming TVN's second-highest-rated K-drama ever.

A Quick Rundown

In quite a fascinating tale of love and marriage, Baek Hyun Woo (Kim Soo Hyun) and Hong Hae In (Kim Ji Won) have fallen prey to fate. They become tangled in a loveless marriage and cling to the last rope of hope, which will fall apart any minute.

As an intelligent attorney stemming from a humble background Hyun Woo takes center stage as the caring and witty leading man that any Hallyu fan would root for. After marrying the Hae In, the heiress of a powerful conglomerate, their love story gains them the title of "power couple of the era".

In an enticing twist, their marriage grows cold and hits an even larger speed bump when a shocking terminal illness comes into play. Is their bond strong enough to endure this cruel fate (and the puppeteering from Hae In's side of the family), or will they drift apart? Don't even get us started on the rich and obnoxious ex-boyfriend (Park Sung Hoon) who shows up with dark intentions! Tune in to Netflix to uncover this gripping tale of love, loyalty, and royalty.

Queen Of Hearts: An Emotional Roller Coaster Ride

When the drama first came out, we were unsure about watching it due to the lingering homesickness caused by Dr. Slump. However, the clips and reviews of the drama pulled us in, and we were hooked from the very first scene.

We have all seen dramas where the plot looked promising and gripping at first, but eventually loses its essence and became dull. Queen of Tears is nearing its conclusion and we can guarantee that it is nothing like that.

The writer, Park Ji Eun, did a wonderful job with this story, as always. Kudos to her for keeping us hooked on weekends and making it hard to wait for a new episode every week.

Her story would not have come to life without the talented acting of the impeccable cast. Kim Soo Hyun, Kim Ji- Won, Park Sung Hoon, Kwak Dong Yeon, and the rest of the star-studded entire cast.

To avoid giving away too many spoilers, we won't go too deep into the story, but let us just tell you that your mind will be blown with every episode! You will cry and laugh like a crazy person—at least that is what we have been doing.

Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won, both exceptionally talented actors, effortlessly convey deep emotions through their expressions, eyes, and gestures. Even in moments of silence, their eyes speak volumes, showcasing their remarkable ability to communicate without words.

Having already witnessed Park Sung Hoon's acting in The Glory, we must say that he continues to impress in Queen of Tears. His stellar performance not only dazzles us with his visuals, but also leaves a lasting impact with his acting skills.

Let us not forget to appreciate the talent of Kwak Dong Yeon who did not fail to leave a mark on our hearts with each of his projects so far. Viewers get stunned by his performance each time they see him on screen. He truly deserves all the attention he is getting, and more. In this K-Drama, he plays the role of Hae In’s 33-year-old younger brother, who is happily married to his wife Cheon Da Hye (Joo Bin Lee) with whom he shares a son. He's portrayed as a loving and innocent young man, but he struggles to find his own path amid his sister's success. As a result, he is often overshadowed and unable to make strides in his own career.

(TMI: The writer of this review might just have a crush on him. Just saying 😊)

Besides the main characters, the supporting actors have been doing an incredible job. It is imperative to acknowledge the contributions of the actors that played both Hae In's and Hyun Woo's families, as well as Queen's employees and all others. Everyone did an outstanding job.

The Queen of Tears, Laughter, and Happy Ever After(?)

This K-Drama is like a suspenseful rollercoaster that never stops surprising us! Every episode is packed with twists and turns, leaving us hanging off a cliff every weekend. It's a wild ride that keeps us craving more drama all week long!

If you haven't delved into Queen of Tears yet, consider this your official invitation to the drama party you can't miss! We're practically a walking billboard for this K-drama because it's the ultimate escape into Hallyu land.

The writing? Chef's kiss. The acting? Pure gold!

We're ready to beg the writer for a delusional ending because let's face it, we've got enough reality in our lives. Give us that dreamy, delusional finale, and let us float away on a cloud of drama-induced bliss!😛
