On the first day of BTS' second digital concert, they delivered spectacular performances from beginning to end. Opening the show with their massive hit, "On", V, Jin, Suga, Jungkook, Jimin, RM, and J-Hope made a strong entrance on a stage that was an identical replica of the song's theatrical music video (You know, that iconic wall and hill). Clad in gorgeous black outfits and shimmering sashes, the septet looked like dashing princes from a contemporary kingdom.

Launching into a plethora of nostalgic throwback songs, BTS performed "Boy In Luv", "N.O", "DNA", "Butterfly", "We Are Bulletproof Part 2", and "No More Dream", among other of their greatest hits. The concert progressed with highly anticipated tracks from their Map of the Soul era, such as "Moon", "Filter", "Zero O' Clock", and "Inner Child". We can finally say that we saw these amazing songs performed live for the very first time!

While the venue may have been without a live audience (no thanks to you, COVID), the concert was brought to life with ARMY Bombs that were strategically placed on the empty chairs in the stadium. However, the true cherries on top were the multitude of screens that showed ARMYs enjoying the concert from the comfort of their homes, and that made all the difference.

Capping off the concert with "We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal", BTS rendered a poignantly inspirational performance that stirred hearts of viewers all over the world. Becoming emotional themselves, BTS couldn't hide their tears as they heard their fans singing along to the words of their songs. It was evident that Jimin was the first to let his tears get the best of him, but RM was quick to give him a comforting pat on the back and encourage him to cry it all out.
With the faces of ARMY beautifully depicted as their backdrop, Map of The Soul ON:E Day 1 came to a marvelous conclusion. Returning to the hill from which they emerged at the beginning of the concert, BTS bid adieu to their loyal viewers and are likely gearing up for day 2 of their extraordinary concert weekend.

Day 1 of Map of the Soul ON:E was a magical music event that evoked every emotion known to man, and it is safe to say that we are all looking forward to the day that concerts will once again have a live audience. In the words of their leader, RM:
"We are strong, and we will find a way."
So, that's exactly what we will do. In the meantime, ARMY, are you ready for #MapofheSoulONE Day 2?
