It's been a waiting game of epic proportions, but Jisoo, Rosé, Lisa, and Jennie are back. It's BLACKPINK in your area again, BLINKS!
The K-Pop quartet is in the midst of shaking up the entertainment industry again with their nearing comeback, and the 2022 VMAs is one of their first stops.
BLACKPINK will make their official U.S. award show debut with a live performance of "Pink Venom" on the legendary stage of the VMAs, which is set to take place at the Prudential Center on Sunday, August 28 at 8 PM ET/PT.
Back in 2020, the K-Pop mavens hit a milestone by taking home a Moon Person for "Song of the Summer". And this year, the group is nominated for "Best Metaverse Performance".
On top of that, BLACKPINK's resident main rapper, Lisa, made history as the first solo female K-Pop artist and Korean soloist to ever be nominated at the VMAs. The "Lalisa" singer is included in the list of nominees for "Best K-Pop". Will the girls sweep two wins this year?
The other contenders in the "Best K-Pop" category are as follows:
-BTS | "Yet To Come (The Most Beautiful Moment")
-Itzy | "Loco"
-Seventeen | "Hot"
-Stray Kids | "Maniac"
-Twice | "The Feels"
